Interpersonal Skills: Body Language Vs Verbal Exchange

Its a well-known fact that interpersonal skills are key to a successful employee, but out of body language and verbal exchange, which is most important?

Body Language -

This is the way we communicate through physical language, rather than words. When talking in front of people, its all too common for people to talk quickly and rush what they’re saying, and therefore talk with less clarity,  meaning people may misunderstand you. Show people that you are confident by being open and using your hands, rather than standing with your arms folded. Good body language will make people feel comfortable around you and be more likely to pay attention to what you’re saying, creating effective communication.

Verbal Exchange -

This is the exchange of words between two or more people. Certain words can be misunderstood or misinterpreted, so it is important that words are chosen carefully. It is good to speak with clarity and seeking feedback is a good way to ensure your message has been conveyed,

So there we go, a run down on the two skills, now its down to you. Let me know which you think is the most important.
